Are macaroons a keto?

No, the traditional chocolate macaroons made with flour and sugar are definitely not keto. But this easy-to-make macaroons recipe is definitely keto. Only 1.9g NET carbs per square. If you make chocolate cupcakes, they control portion sizes immediately.

Keto macaroons without milk

Nothing beats the taste of a greasy macaroons with a crunchy top and I wanted to bring those qualities into these macaroons while still being keto-friendly and dairy-free. .

What equipment do you need?

To make brownies simple and easy to clean, we will use a blender to make macaroons. I love using a blender as I can throw all the ingredients at it and my batter is done in just a few seconds. If you don’t have a blender, feel free to use a mixing bowl and a whisk.

How do you make keto macaroons from scratch?

To make these dairy-free macaroons, you first need to add coconut oil to the bottom of the mixture. Next, you pour boiling water into the blender by pouring it over coconut oil to melt the oil. The oil will continue to melt while it is in hot water.

Next, you put cocoa powder, monosodium glutamate, almond flour and the rest of the ingredients in a blender. Cover and mix until powder is smooth. Pour the dough into an 8 inch x 8 inch square baking pan that has been lightly greased and lined with parchment.

All the macaroons ingredients are in the blender ready to mix.

Bake your macaroons in the oven at 180 ° C / 350F for 15-20 minutes. Better to bake the brownie a little underneath than to overcook it to keep it moist. Let the macaroons cool, lift them out of the pan and cut them into 16 pieces.

What is low-carb flour?

For this non-dairy brownie recipe, we’ll use almond flour, a powder made from finely ground almonds.

Can you use almond milk in macaroons?

It’s correct. Since this dairy-free macaroons recipe doesn’t require milk, you can use unsweetened almond milk instead of water. It will increase the net carbs in your macaroons and increase the number of calories per serving, so keep that in mind.

If you choose to replace the almond milk with water, make sure the almond milk is hot as you add it to allow the coconut oil to melt in the blender.

Keto muffins and mini muffins (non-dairy macaroons)

Turn your brownie dough into muffins or mini muffins with ease. To make sure the macaroons are easy to take out, make sure to apply olive oil to your muffin pan.

You will be able to get 12 regular size muffins and 36 small muffins from your batter. Conventional muffins take 15-17 minutes to bake while mini muffins only take 10-12 minutes.

The net carbs for regular muffins will be higher per serving for regular muffins than for macaroons because you will have fewer servings. However, making mini muffins is a great way to reduce the net carbs per serving of your macaroons!
