Dutch champions Ajax welcomes Roma in the first leg of the Europa League quarterfinals at Johan Cruyff Arena tonight.

The Dutch team is looking for an equalizer 11order consecutive home wins in this tournament, while Roma have won all four matches in the knockout stages this year.

Ajax is 11 points ahead of the top team Eredivise and unbeaten in the last 24 matches in all competitions. Roma is 7order in Serie A and 2-2 draw with Sassuolo last weekend, this is the first quarterfinal match they have participated in this tournament.

Daley Blind and Noussair Mazraoui can hardly attend tonight’s match of the home team due to injury.

Goalkeeper Andre Onana was not present after being suspended for 12 months by UEFA’s disciplinary body for a doping violation. And former West Ham striker Sebastien Haller will not be present either after he was dropped from Ajax’s Europa League squad due to an administrative error.

Roma quartet Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Marash Kumbulla, Nicolo Zaniolo and Chris Smalling will all miss tonight’s clash with injuries.

Stephan El Shaarawy has also been eliminated from both quarter-finals after suffering a thigh injury in Roma’s draw with Sassuolo last weekend.

Dutch international Rick Karsdorp is also absent due to suspension.
