NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – A new mural resides the Bronx Thanks to the rapper DMX.
Artist Efren Andaluz painted the exterior of a family owned Dominica restaurant on Dutch boulevards and Burke in Olinville part.

Andaluz says DMX is “the voice of his childhood”.
He said he wanted to paint a mural of the rapper as soon as he found out he was being taken to the hospital in White Plains earlier this month.

DMX, whose real name is Earl Simmons, died a week later from cardiac arrest.
