Bitcoin was caught in a raging wave as the leader of the Turkish opposition voiced his support
Immediately after a Friday morning “diktat” from Turkey’s newly appointed central bank governor, effectively banned any and all use of cryptocurrencies in the country, (BTC) now appears caught in a partisan attack when a Turkish opposition party leader has voiced his support for the digital currency.
As reported by Cointelegraph, Turkey’s central bank announced on Friday that starting April 30, any Cryptocurrency payments and fiat-to-crypto onramp transactions will be considered illegal. In addition, “Any direct or indirect use of crypto assets in cryptocurrency payment and issuance services” will be prohibited.
