The Vaccination campaign COVID-19 Europe fell sharply this week amid disturbing reports of a handful of people who had been vaccinated with AstraZeneca. There is no evidence to suggest an association between the vaccine and the undesirable side effects at this time. According to WHO and European Health Authority, the benefit outweighs any potential risks and immunization campaigns should continue.
However, under the pressure of public opinion and the press, some countries has decided to suspend the use of the AstraZeneca vaccine as a precaution against the risk of another outbreak and hamper an economic recovery.
