PATERSON, NJ (CBSNewYork) Firefighters performed a dangerous rescue at a waterfall in New Jersey early Sunday morning.
The 32-year-old man was found stranded on a rocky island. Firefighters used ropes to lower a boat into the water, from the base of the hydroelectric plant. They were able to navigate the rainy Passaic river and bring the man back to safety.
The man told rescuers that he jumped from a pedestrian bridge.
