First “Covid free” train leaving Rome – Savings

Train frecciarossa 9618 to Milan leaves Termini station in Rome at 8:50 am. This is the first “Covid free” train of the Trenitalia initiative to provide safe travel by allowing only negative passengers to board Covid-19.. It started with the presence of the Minister for Infrastructure and Sustainable Mobility, Enrico Giovannini, and the Minister of Tourism, Massimo Garavaglia. The initiative’s second train will depart from Milano Centrale at 18:00.
Those wishing to board the Covid free train must be present at the station, which starts 45 minutes before departure, with documents confirming negative results of a molecular gauze or unhygienic, taken within 48 hours before the trip. It is also possible to make a free cotton swab at the station.
In this regard, outside the Termini station, under the canopy in front of the Piazza dei Cinquecento, a tent was erected to carry out the tests. People who are vaccinated must have a negative certificate or have a cotton swab before leaving. If the buffer is active, the ticket will be 100% refunded, even if the customer has purchased it at a discount. The trains will still travel at 50% capacity according to current regulations. After the first phase, this initiative may also be extended to other destinations.
