(Reuters) – Jazz musician Harry Connick Jr is showing the spiritual side with his new album, “Alone With my Faith”.
Connick Jr created the album in his home studio during the pandemic, played all the instruments, recorded all the background vocals and performed the technique. The singer said the process serves as a therapy in times of uncertainty.
“This is a case where the music really got me through this time, and that’s really rare,” he said.
New Orleans natives describe the 13-track project as a mix of faith-based and Christian songs for those who need help approaching their faith to make it through last year.
Connick said the album, released earlier this month, is an authentic look at how most people navigate life during isolation.
“This is a really honest look at what I and I think a lot of other people can listen to, are going through and just, have gone through,” he said.
