April 22 – Starbucks Mexico will celebration Earth Day by invites customers to join the brand to become more sustainable. Customers who purchase large beverages at Starbucks stores on April 22 will receive a reusable hot drink to commemorate the event (while out of stock).
The Starbucks Consumer Delivery, on the other hand, starting today April 19 and until April 25, will be able to receive ground coffee grounds to prepare compost and revitalize new plants or nourish gardens , in any order through home delivery partners DiDi Food, Rappi and Uber Eats.
Likewise, after a pause, as a measure of hygiene due to the current pandemic, the coffee shop chain will safely reintroduce its re-filling reusable cup and thermos use all over the country.
The brand explained that this decision was the result of successful testing of new operating procedures to ensure the safety of employees and customers. When users bring their reusable glass or thermos to the stores, they receive a three-Mexican discount on their drinks, thus helping to reduce waste.
“With these actions, Starbucks invites its customers to make change, participate in the path of caring for our planet and reduce our environmental impact,” they commented in a statement.
