Homemade chocolate cup cake (for your Valentine!)


First of all, my teenage daughters were very upset when I asked them for help on this project, and we had to do them quite a few times (5 times to be exact) until we did. it’s correct. They are really devastated having to make and sample so much chocolate cupcakes – ha! Make a 100% joke here, our family must have sweet teeth. By the way, my 10th grade formula is the final winner we’re sharing today.

Now, everything we do and sample is definitely more than we normally have when it comes to sweets (we usually aim for one big treat every week, give or take!) Because of the refined sugar. And the chocolate crumbs in this recipe both have an obvious meaning it can’t real food. But, when it’s time to enjoy something special… homemade (from scratch) is definitely the best way!

Tutorial

  1. Whisk flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking soda, and salt in a microwave safe cup of coffee. Add melted butter, milk (or water) and chocolate chips and stir until smooth.

  2. Microwave on high for about 90 seconds, until cake is firm. Garnish with strawberries and / or whipped cream.
