Publishing magnate Jimmy Lai was sentenced to 12 months in Hong Kong for his role in pro-democracy protests in former British colonies.
The allegations are related to one of the biggest protests in Hong Kong in 2019. This is the first time that 73-year-old Jimmi Lai has been convicted for his political activities.
The tycoon is currently in prison after being arrested under the Beijing National Security Act.
