India reported more than 200,000 new cases of COVID-19 for the first time

NEW DELHI (Reuters) – India has reported a record 200,739 COVID-19 infections in the past 24 hours, according to data released by the Ministry of Health on Thursday.

The data showed that the number of dead stood at 1,038, bringing the total to 173,123 people.

The total number of cases in this country reached 14.1 million, only after the United States, the country leading the total number of cases globally with 31.4 million cases.
