Introducing a better way to interact with your Instagram audience

What if I told you customer engagement on Instagram could double or triple your revenue?

That’s exactly what happened with Southern Elegance Candle Co. as founder and CEO D’Shawn Russell told us:

“Our social media helps us make a lot of money… We’ve gone from being able to make 20,000-30,000 dollars a month just posting nice pictures to over 100,000 dollars a month now hours simply by engaging more people. “

Russel and Southern Elegance Candle Co are not alone. Brands like Glossier (attribute 70% of its growth for owned, earned, peer, or organic channels), MadHappy, and Sass & Belle, focusing on responding to almost every customer on Instagram.

So focusing on interactions can be incredibly effective. But how do you actually get at the top of every comment?

After working and testing with thousands of customers, we’ve developed a solution that really focuses on letting you build better relationships and stronger brands on Instagram.

We’re excited to share it available to all Buffer customers today!

(If you’re not a Buffer customer yet, you can Get started with just $ 15 per month.)

Introducing Instagram interactions in Buffer

Every time a comment on Instagram goes unanswered, the chance to create a permanent client is lost.

Problem?

Keeping these interactions up-to-date is really hard.

Notifications from Instagram quickly vanish, and important comments slip through the cracks. And we understand why – no one has time to play on Instagram 24/7. Your time is precious and we’re here to help you get it back.

With this latest addition, you’ll be able to respond to more comments, update important interactions, and turn your followers into fans. All from the comfort of your Buffer dashboard.

It’s really easy to miss out on new comments among Instagram likes, followers, and mentions. For most small business owners and marketers, this means checking Instagram regularly for important comments.

We have experienced this on our own with our own Instagram account and have heard the same from many customers. And that’s why our interactive features are specially built to keep you up to date with all of your comments.

There are all the benefits of building and participating in a community but it’s also a huge time saver for me. I can’t tell you how helpful it was.

Right at the top, you can instantly see how many unanswered comments you have. The familiar grid view makes it incredibly easy and fast to jump to respective Instagram posts in response to comments.

You can quickly respond to as many comments as possible, and if there is a comment that doesn’t need response time, you can easily dismiss it by clicking the check mark next to the comment and the comment will is considered “answered”.

Course creator and artist Tamer Ghoneim shared with us, “it’s really important for me to try to respond to every comment but can’t find them, the notice expires and I don’t have a good way to manage comments on Instagram. Can’t start telling you How happy I was to see the interactive features in Buffer. I actually spent hours, if not days, searching for something like this. There are all the benefits of building and interacting with a community but it’s also a huge time saver for me. I don’t know how helpful you’ve been. “

Prioritize important conversations

Instagram notifications are displayed in reverse chronological order. So for most people you’ll see the latest notifications first and be able to work your way up in the order they are displayed.

But the latest announcement might not be the most important or urgent to respond to. Maybe there’s a comment on a major issue with your order or a comment from an influencer asking about your product – somehow hidden in the middle of all your messages. These are the comments you may want to prioritize.

With Buffer, you can do that. We use a combination of filtering and machine learning to identify three types of comments you might want to preview:

  1. Negative comments
  2. Comment on an order
  3. Comment with a question

Posts with one or more of these comment types will have a label for you to spot immediately. No more scrolling and searching. Just click on the post and jump right through to reply to comments.

“We use the Engage tool every day to make sure we never miss a comment or question from our community. I really like how it marks comments that could be an issue. Or that could be an important question that we may have overlooked. “Stephanie Kaluza, social media director of Sass & Belle.

“It’s very difficult to maintain the lead on Instagram, especially because as a full-time marketer I spend most of my time using laptops / desktops and IG is geared towards appliances. be mobile. You cannot do everything on the platform from the desktop. Bravo for Buffer’s ingenuity! ”Beverly McLean, JSC, Director of Social Media at Covington Tourism tell us.

Second, there are hot keys to help speed up your interactions:
