From next Sunday, Israelis will no longer be obligated to wear masks outdoors. This was reported by the press citing a directive from the Ministry of Health. This rule was put in place about a year ago to prevent the spread of Covid. However, the obligation to wear it indoors remains in effect.
To date, 53% of Israelis have received both doses of the Pfizer vaccine, with less than a million citizens still required. Active cases are about three thousand, severe cases are 219. Some experts believe that the country is now close to achieving herd immunity.
