Leos Carax’s first new English film, eagerly awaited by film enthusiasts around the world, will open the Cannes Film Festival on Tuesday, July 6. It’s called Annette and is played by French stars Marion Cotillard and Adam Driver.
Set in contemporary Los Angeles, Annette tells the story of Henry, a comedian known for his fierce sense of humor, and Ann, a famous singer around the world. Under the spotlight, they are a perfect, healthy, happy and charming couple. The birth of their first daughter, Annette, a mysterious girl with a special fate, will change their lives.
