The San Francisco 49ers is buzzing the NFL drafting community with constantly changing reports of what the team will do with Thursday’s # 3 overall pick.
With the NFL Network reporting that 49ers are currently deciding between midfielders Mac Jones and Trey Lance, savvy bettors can take advantage.
San Francisco got its third vote on March 26. Three days later, Lance was given +175 by DraftKings (NASDAQ 🙂 to be chosen by 49ers.
That puts him behind Jones (+150) and slightly ahead of Justin Fields (+200). However, those odds have changed significantly as public opinion is stirring that San Francisco is strongly considering Fields after attending both pre-draft training sessions of the Ohio state quartet.
By April 5, Fields (+150) was getting close to Jones (+125), with Lance’s odds of landing in the Bay Area going to increase to +250. That odds moved to +400 on April 15 with San Francisco reportedly bringing his decision down to Jones and Fields.
Sunday’s report contributed to another big swing at DraftKings, where Jones is now overwhelmingly favorites as the # 3 overall pick at -200. Lance’s odds have shortened to +150, however, while Fields is now a +700 long shot.
Jones was -250’s favorite to go to San Francisco at BetMGM, where the former Alabama star opened its doors at +185 as the third overall choice. That odds were shortened to -160 last week.
Lance was second with +190, followed by Fields (+800).
Clemson’s winger Trevor Lawrence is an overwhelming favorite at all sports books to take the overall No. 1 spot for Jacksonville Jaguars. One BetMGM bet has staked $ 50,000 on Lawrence at -1250, going to pay $ 4,000 if he actually goes with the first pick.
Sports trader Darren Darby of BetMGM said: “The sports book has adjusted the line on many props due to the stakes being too high. “The book took an important act for Trevor Lawrence to become the first overall chosen person.”
Lawrence is currently offered at -10000 by the book, with BYU midfielder Zach Wilson listed at -2500 as the second option, currently held by the New York Jets.
