NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – The first woman charged Governor Andrew Cuomo about sexual harassment made its first public appearance on Saturday, joining protesters in New York City in a protest calling for impeachment of him.
Lindsey Boylan was the first of eight women to bring charges against the governor, claiming that he kissed her on the lips.
“Someone abusing their power doesn’t just do it to a woman or a community; they do it, to a certain extent, with people and in every community, ”Boylan said Saturday.
In an extensive interview with New Yorker MagazineShe talks about a troubled encounter with the governor and his dog, Captain.

As CBS2’s Meg Baker reports, a total of eight women have now appeared first, accusing Cuomo of sexual harassment or inappropriate behavior.
The latest accuser is Alyssa McGrath, 33, a current aide in Cuomo’s regulator.
She detailed retelling for The New York Times, saying, “Mr. Cuomo will take care of her body, comment on her looks and make suggestions for her and another executive aide.”
In one particular incident, McGrath explained, “I looked up to see what was going on. And he blatantly despised my shirt ”.
Chants rang out from Washington Square Park to City Hall on Saturday, calls for Congressional President Carl Heastie to begin the impeachment process.
State Senator Jabari Brisport said: “Woman after woman after woman, and we have a governor who refuses to resign. “Time to call for impeachment.”
Others supporting the governor have gathered outside his office in the city.
The governor did not respond to CBS2’s request for comment on Saturday but kept his innocence on all sides, saying that he never touched anyone inappropriateness or made no progress. fit.
Cuomo refused to resign despite calls from within his party. There is a long way to go before the governor faces a Senate trial.
Meanwhile, the FBI is investigating whether the governor’s senior aides are part of hiding information about the actual death toll in the nursing home.
