92% OF CLINICS MAY BE CLINICAL FOR THE FIRST TIME
According to NHS England data, about 92% of people classified as clinically extremely vulnerable received their first dose of coronavirus vaccine.
This is the fourth consecutive week it stands at this rate – with the number of first doses increasing to 2,074,611 from 2,053,493 on March 28.
The data show that 80% of those 16 to 64 years old in the “at-risk group” or unpaid caregivers receive a first hit on this date.
Persons identified as at risk or as carers in a number of ways, including through GP records, caregiver’s grant recipients or in the GP Academic Disability Register, and identified by local authorities as unpaid caregivers, NHS England said.
Those included in these numbers may have been vaccinated as part of another high-priority group such as clinically vulnerable people or health workers, it added.
