NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) New York City is currently offering some financial bailout to rising nonprofit groups pandemic.
The new initiative will prove $ 120 million to community-based organizations.
Funding will be used to help cover costs including rent, information systems and administrative costs.
“If a family needed food, you were there for them. If people need mental health support, you’re there for them. If people are struggling to find the right way and get information about this pandemic and make the right decisions, you’re there for them. There are many ways that nonprofits have helped people get through this crisis, ” Major Bill de Blasio to speak.
Eligible nonprofits provide services to approximately 2.5 million people a year and employ about 250,000 New Yorkers.
