The curtain against the European Union has fallen, with Prime Minister Mario Draghi making great strides towards the final phase of his Recovery Plan: the vote of the House of Representatives and the Senate. Today will present the National Recovery and Recovery Plan to Montecitorio with an expected response Tuesday morning to create ample space for debate.
Also on Tuesday, it will be the Senate’s turn. The green lights are undisputed, with most of the Draghi countable. But the prime minister’s speech is equally expected. And the head of the executive branch, government sources explained, first of all he will appeal to the “basic philosophy” contained in the 337 pages of the NRP: The challenge is to ensure that once the pandemic is defeated, Italy will start growing again.
According to government sources, the Council of Ministers making a definitive consent to the PNRR could fall on Thursday. And, in the same meeting, does not rule out another very hot filing by Draghi at the end of April: a business decree calling for new support for operations closed by anti-Covid restrictions. According to majority, an ordinance could cause further tension after the League disbanded in the CDM over the latest anti-Covid measures.
