SADDLE RIVER, NJ (CBSNewYork) – Rosie O’Donnell is no longer a New Jersey home owner, and her former Saddle River mansion is being demolished and turned into affordable housing.
According to the word report New York PostO’Donnell’s six-bedroom, nine-bath mansion sold for $ 1 million for $ 5.3 million after it’s been on the market for five years. O’Donnell’s 5-acre estate will be turned into 60 affordable housing units after a court has settled fair housing between Saddle River County and NJ’s Center for Fair Housing.
O’Donnell’s former estate covers more than 9,000 square feet and includes amenities such as a basketball court, an underground swimming pool with an in-cave waterfall and a spa with a hot tub.
The actor and former talk show host are currently filming a new installment of Showtime’s “The L Word” and are reportedly buying the Saddle River home for $ 6.3 million in 2013 for the first time.
