The Seattle Seahawks are bringing in Geno Smith to assist the franchise’s full-back Russell Wilson for the third year in a row.

Terms have not been released.

Smith, 30, did not appear in a game in 2019 and only appeared in one game in 2020, clearing the deck for Wilson in a 40-3 win over the New York Jets.

Smith was selected as the Jets future winger in 2013, selected for the second round. He made 29 appearances in his first two seasons, throwing 34 interceptions versus 25 touches. He has started just two games since then.

Smith completed 57.8% of his passes in 6,215 yards with 29 touches and 36 interceptions in 41 career matches.
