CORAL GABLES (CBSMiami) – A newly opened Coral Gables restaurant looking for someone who stole an expensive, giant teddy bear that is being auctioned for charity.
Gramercy, located at the old Tarpon Bend site on Miracle Mile, has released video surveillance of the crook since Thursday night, showing him being handed, grabbing a red teddy bear sitting outside a restaurant.
The giant teddy bear was one of several to be auctioned for $ 500 a piece as part of a “Bears in the chair” promotion that benefits The Lotus House, helping improving the lives of homeless women and children.
Gramercy has raised several thousand dollars by auctioning bears sitting outside the business. They also make a great shot for many patrons.
Now, only one bear remains.
If you spot a teddy bear thief, call the Coral Gables Police.
