The military coup in Myanmar became absurd on Monday when a video went viral on social media of a woman dancing in front of an armored vehicle.
Aerobics video appears to be filmed on Monday morning as the coup is in progress, capturing a surreal scene of a military takeover set to a lively electronic beat. The woman, named Khing Hnin Wai, dancing for three minutes, didn’t seem to notice what was going on behind the scenes. According to her Facebook profile, she is a fitness teacher recruited by the Ministry of Education.
The video is so unbelievable that viewers begin to wonder if she’s dancing in front of a blue screen. They point to the shadow behind the woman, part of which disappears in the video.
But not sure if the video is fake. Search display position She was dancing on the stairs of a roundabout not far from the National Assembly of Myanmar, which is why the shadow seemed to be cut off. Pictures from the street posted by researcher Bellingcat Aric Toler also confirmed the location.
Later in the day, the PE teacher himself posted other exercise videos filmed at the same location. She did not immediately respond to a request for an interview from BuzzFeed News.
