Nicolette Davis told The Washington Post that Reed appeared drunk as he pointed to her back and legs while the two sat side by side at the event.

Reed fumbled for her bra before slipping the clasp through it and removing it, then put his hand on her thigh, she said.

Davis, 25 and on her first trip as a junior lobbyist for insurance company Aflac, said she texted a friend and colleague that “a drunk MP is rub my back ”.

“HELP HELP,” she texted, before the person sitting on her other side responded to her request by pulling Reed out of the restaurant, according to her account, announced Friday.

Reed declined a request for an interview, but in a statement released by his office, he said, “My explanation of this action is inaccurate.”

Reed was among the members of New York’s Congress calling Governor Andrew Cuomo resignation allegations of sexual harassment from some women.

In response to the #MeToo movement, Reed said training in sexual harassment was a basic requirement in his office and he did it. He also supports a bipartisan law of 2018 that requires lawmakers to be personally held accountable for harassment arrangements.

A statement provided by Reed’s office states: “I keep my records.”

Commenting on the allegations against Cuomo last month, Reed said, “these sexual harassment cases and this type of abuse are disgusting and have absolutely no place in our society, let alone to the highest levels of government. “

In late February, Reed said he was seriously considering running for governor against Cuomo.
