HANET, a startup service Artificial intelligence– powerful surveillance camera in Vietnam, received an undisclosed investment from G-Group Technology Group at a valuation of US$5 million.
A press release said the startup will use the money to bring its business to the global market.
“We have worked hard for a long time, going through many difficulties to build the HANET AI camera. We want to make it the leading AI camera product in Vietnam as well as in the global market”, said Mr. Vo Duc Tho, CEO and founder of HANET.
In developed countries, AI cameras are installed everywhere for traffic analysis and crime control. However, in Vietnam, there are very few AI cameras on the street, using old technology and lacking analytical and calculation capabilities.
The unique feature of HANET is that its products have AI chips integrated into the camera. This reduces investment costs and makes deployment easier.
The camera boasts of high speed face recognition feature can detect people even if they are wearing masks. It claims that the device can be used to detect traffic violations and prevent child kidnapping and robbery.
The AI camera is available in three variants: home (for family protection, children, anti-theft), office (for automatic time attendance and access control) and shop (for automatic customer counting, business analysis and anti-theft).
