The king’s daughterwith Pierce Brosnan (James Bond), Kaya Scodelario (Pirates of the Caribbean), William Hurt (Avengers Endgame), Benjamin Walker (Lord of the rings), narrated by Academy Award winner Julie Andrews and directed by Sean McNamara, was released in over 2,100 theaters across America earlier this year and is available on-demand now. The original film soundtrack will be streamed on all digital music platforms.
Metcalfe accepted the award in Ghent along with his team of composers for the film, Grant Kirkhope and John Coda, who also live in the Los Angeles area. Casey Stone (Frozen, X-Men), the score mixing engineer, and Katie Garibaldi, the soundtrack music supervisor, were also in attendance.
The king’s daughter was also nominated for Best Original Score – Fantasy at the 2022 Hollywood Music in Media Awards, against scores including the new ones avatar movie and Fantastic Beasts – Dumbledore.
Metcalfe, whose studio is in Simi Valley and leads a collaborative composers group called Sum Of All Music, is currently hosting an immersive Christmas walk, Winter Wonderland, which will be held at the 36-acre Girl Scouts Camp Arnaz in Ventura.
